Work Environment

This position is fully onsite at our outpatient facility, which is bustling with activity and filled with dedicated professionals. As part of a close-knit team of two physical therapists and one physical therapist assistant (PTA), you will work in an encouraging atmosphere that promotes teamwork and continuous learning. Our clinic caters to a diverse range of patients, allowing for a fulfilling and varied caseload.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and address the individual needs and goals of each patient by developing personalized treatment plans.
• Manage a caseload of 2-3 patients per hour, delivering evidence-based therapy that improves mobility and function.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities to facilitate rehabilitation, including manual therapy, exercise prescription, and strength training.
• Engage patients in goal-setting, inspiring them to achieve their best self while undergoing treatment.
• Regularly assess and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure continued improvement.
• Email and sync with other medical specialists to provide comprehensive care.
• Advocate for non-surgical treatment options aimed at reducing reliance on prescription medications.
• Educate and empower patients by providing valuable resources and guidance to support their wellness journey.

Patient Population / Client Focus

At Kinetic Ease PT, we primarily focus on athletes and active individuals aged 18 and older who require outpatient orthopedic care. Our patients often seek treatment for sports-related injuries, post-operative rehabilitation, and chronic pain management. As a physical therapist, you will be at the forefront of their recovery process, implementing effective therapies that enhance their quality of life.

Qualifications

• Current Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution.
• State license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Virginia, free from any board or disciplinary actions.
• Strong manual therapy skills and the ability to implement various therapeutic techniques.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, specifically WebPT or similar platforms.

Preferred Experience

• At least one year of experience in outpatient orthopedic physical therapy preferred.
• Experience working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Background in sports medicine or rehabilitation is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
