Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to create individualized treatment plans based on their specific needs and goals.
• Implement and oversee rehabilitation programs to improve patients' physical abilities, employing various treatment modalities and exercises tailored to each individual.
• Demonstrate expertise in orthopedic outpatient physical therapy, equipping patients with the skills and education they need to overcome challenges.
• Utilize evidence-based interventions to ensure the effectiveness of therapies provided, focusing on a holistic recovery approach.
• Provide ongoing motivation and support to patients, fostering an encouraging environment conducive to healing and recovery.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of professionals to coordinate care and improve patient outcomes.
• Monitor progress through regular evaluations, adjusting care plans as necessary to align with evolving patient goals.
• Maintain precise and comprehensive documentation utilizing EMR software like WebPT to track patient progress and treatment methods.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required for this position.
• An active Physical Therapist license, free from sanctions or board proceedings, is necessary to practice in Virginia.
• A solid foundation in manual therapy techniques, complemented by a passion for evidence-based physical therapy practices.
• Proficiency in utilizing EMR software, particularly WebPT, to ensure accurate and efficient patient documentation.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, essential for building rapport with patients and collaborating with a diverse care team.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in an outpatient clinic environment, specifically within sports medicine or orthopedic rehabilitation settings.

Compensation and Benefits
