Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients' physical conditions and create personalized treatment programs as per physicians' referrals, ensuring they align with best practices in physical therapy.
• Implement therapeutic interventions in the home care setting, employing a variety of techniques such as manual therapy, exercise prescription, and patient education to facilitate recovery.
• Provide comprehensive, evidence-based care that addresses the full spectrum of patient needs, from rehabilitation post-injury to post-operative care.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes to inform ongoing care and enhance communication with healthcare teams.
• Demonstrate exceptional customer service, fostering an environment of trust and support that encourages patient adherence to treatment plans.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be working with a diverse patient population, including those requiring orthopedic rehabilitation, pediatric care, sports injury recovery, and neurologic rehabilitation. Each treatment plan will be individually tailored to address specific patient conditions, lifestyle needs, and functional goals. Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• State licensure as a Physical Therapist in Virginia.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, facilitating effective interactions with patients and their families.
• Proven ability to establish and maintain rapport with patients, promoting positive therapeutic relationships.
• Proficient in computer and word processing skills necessary for documentation and communication.

Preferred Experience

• Two years of clinical experience as a Physical Therapist, ideally with home care or outpatient services.
• Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) is highly desirable but not required.
• Experience working with a variety of patient populations and treatment modalities.
• Current CPR certification, ensuring a commitment to safety and emergency preparedness.
