Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Lakeland Care Solution, you will be entrusted with the following responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients referred by physicians, assessing their physical capabilities, limitations, and overall health status.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient, focusing on their specific rehabilitation goals.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to provide a spectrum of care, treating various patient demographics including orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine cases.
• Provide hands-on therapeutic care, utilizing a range of techniques and modalities to promote recovery and improvement in function.
• Foster strong relationships with patients and their families by consulting and educating them about their treatment processes and home-care strategies.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes and contribute to achieving departmental objectives, including meeting utilization goals.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role as a Physical Therapist will involve working closely with diverse populations, including individuals recovering from surgeries, athletes with sports injuries, children with developmental challenges, and adults with chronic conditions. Your efforts will directly enhance their physical ability, confidence, and quality of life, making a lasting difference in their recovery journey.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this role will meet the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program, with a preference for candidates holding a Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT).
• A valid state license to practice physical therapy in Virginia.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients, caregivers, and team members.
• Proficiency in word processing and basic computer skills.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience is required, candidates with additional credentials or expertise in specialized rehabilitation areas will be viewed favorably. Experience in community outreach and local health initiatives would also be beneficial.
