Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient needs by conducting comprehensive assessments and establishing individualized treatment programs as prescribed by referring physicians.
• Administer therapies that address diverse conditions across orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine spectrums, utilizing an evidence-based approach to maximize patient outcomes.
• Facilitate patient education and caregiver training to enhance understanding of treatment plans and promote adherence to prescribed exercises and lifestyle changes.
• Deliver high-quality therapeutic services with a focus on enhancing patients' function and quality of life, employing various modalities and exercises.
• Maintain detailed records of patient progress and treatment interventions to ensure continuity of care and effective communication within the healthcare team.
• Strive to meet utilization targets and contribute proactively to the growth and effectiveness of the practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Home-Based Physical Therapist, your primary focus will be on patients ranging from children to the elderly, encompassing a wide array of diagnoses from post-surgical rehabilitation to chronic pain management. Your ability to adapt treatment plans for various demographics and conditions will play a significant role in helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited APTA or CAPTE-approved program.
• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist in Virginia.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an accredited provider.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively engage with patients and their families.
• Proficient in using electronic health records and basic word processing software.
• Ability to build strong, supportive relationships with patients and their caregivers.
• A commitment to continuous professional development and maintaining current knowledge of best practices in physical therapy.

Preferred Experience

• A Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred but not mandatory.
• A minimum of two years of experience in a clinical setting, specifically in home health care or similar environments.
• Experience in a variety of therapeutic settings and with diverse patient populations.
• Current CPR Certification is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this full-time position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000, commensurate with experience.
