Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized physical therapy treatment plans aimed at preventing disability, relieving pain, and enhancing muscle function based on patient assessment.
• Direct and supervise Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure that the prescribed treatment plans are executed correctly and efficiently.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients' physical abilities through diagnostic testing to assess their rehabilitation needs.
• Make recommendations for modifications in the home environment that facilitate improved independence for clients.
• Provide physical therapy services in accordance with physician referrals, including manual therapy techniques and therapeutic exercises.
• Instruct and assist clients in non-manual exercises and everyday functional activities to promote overall well-being.
• Administer various physical agents and treatments like massage and traction to optimize patient recovery.
• Evaluate, fit, and adjust prosthetic and orthotic devices, and provide updates to the supervising physician on necessary changes.
• Compile and maintain accurate clinical records including initial evaluations, care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries, ensuring compliance with OASIS standards.
• Engage with the interdisciplinary team during case conferences to design and review comprehensive treatment interventions.
• Provide education and support to clients and their families, empowering them to actively participate in their care process.
• Complete necessary documentation regarding clinical services and timely submission of payroll records according to branch policies.
• Conduct regular assessments and reviews of treatment plans, ensuring alignment with each client's evolving needs.
• Stay accessible and available to Physical Therapy Assistants for guidance during client treatment sessions.
• Participate in ongoing professional development activities and take on additional responsibilities as directed to achieve company goals.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with a diverse patient population that includes individuals recovering from surgery, sports injuries, chronic pain conditions, neurological disorders, and age-related mobility challenges. Each client presents unique needs, and your expertise will be crucial in tailoring interventions aimed at fostering recovery and improving quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• A minimum of one year of experience as a Physical Therapist, preferably in an acute care or home care setting.
• Current and valid Physical Therapy licensure in good standing within the state of Virginia.
• Current CPR certification to ensure the safety and emergency readiness of clients.
• A valid driver's license and automobile insurance to facilitate travel to patient homes as necessary.
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care, enabling effective interactions with clients and their families.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in outpatient physical therapy settings is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
