Cardiac Surgery PCU Registered Nurse - $32-48 per hour

BJC HealthCare is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Cardiac PCU – Progressive Care Unit in Saint Louis, Missouri. Responsibilities Provides direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing care standards. Promotes patient- and family-centered care in a healing environment. Educates patients and their families on managing illness or injury, including post-treatment home care and medication administration. Participates in activities that promote patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance; engages in professional development. Develops, implements, and documents individualized plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with interprofessional team members, patients, and families, ensuring clear communication across the continuum of care. Uses critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs in accordance with standards of care. Assesses patient preferences and barriers to care, considering values, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and population-specific needs. Maintains a constant state of alertness; performs duties safely as the position is safety-sensitive. Minimum Requirements Education: Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing. Experience: No experience required. Licenses & Certifications: RN license. Preferred Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing Experience in cardiac care (preferred) Any other relevant nursing experience is a plus Benefits Sign-on bonus up to $15,000 for eligible external candidates. Shift schedule: 12‑hour shifts 7:00pm–7:30am with differentials for nights, weekends, and holidays. BSN differential and acceptance of ADN/BSN/MSN candidates.
