Work Environment\n

This remote role leverages telehealth technology to deliver quality mental health therapy to clients across diverse and challenging circumstances. Our flexible telehealth facility allows for a dynamic work-life balance, giving you the ability to manage your schedule while ensuring that patients receive timely care. The position follows a standard work schedule from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with potential for occasional adjustments based on patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist at Sentara, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' histories and current needs.

• Developing individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, resilience, and long-term well-being.
\n
• Implementing evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions to cultivate a supportive environment where patients can process their trauma and develop healthy coping strategies.
\n
• Collaborating with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary professionals to ensure integrated and holistic care for each patient.

• Providing crisis intervention and timely support during trauma-related emergencies.
\n
• Educating patients and their families about trauma responses, recovery pathways, and available community resources.

• Maintaining thorough and confidential documentation in adherence to ethical and legal standards.

• Participating in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development focused on trauma-informed care.

• Continually staying informed about cutting-edge research and best practices in trauma therapy to enhance therapeutic offerings.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clientele primarily includes individuals affected by trauma, ranging from those experiencing post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) to complex trauma and dissociative disorders. You will have the unique opportunity to work with survivors who are navigating the challenging aftermath of traumatic experiences, making your role pivotal in helping them reclaim their lives and fostering resilience.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications:

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.
\n
• A strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, complemented by a compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor.

• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant digital tools.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience is preferred, we encourage applicants with a passion for trauma therapy, regardless of length of direct experience, to consider joining our team. Experience with trauma-focused therapies is highly beneficial as it enhances the quality of care provided to our clients.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Our benefits package includes:
