Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients’ mental health and substance use concerns, accurately identifying any co-occurring disorders present.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans in collaboration with clients that integrate evidence-based interventions tailored to their needs.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions to help clients develop essential coping mechanisms, relapse prevention strategies, and emotional regulation techniques.

• Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and ensure an integrated approach to treatment that addresses both mental health and substance use challenges.

• Regularly monitor clients for substance use and utilize motivational interviewing techniques to inspire and support clients throughout their recovery journey.

• Educate clients and their families on the dynamics between mental health and substance use disorders, including the significance of treatment adherence.

• Maintain comprehensive, up-to-date documentation of treatment interventions, progress notes, and referrals, adhering to ethical and legal requirements.

• Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and professional training sessions to stay current with best practices in treating co-occurring disorders.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• A current and valid license as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.

• Proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic techniques relevant to co-occurring disorders, including Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, candidates with prior experience working in an integrated care environment, particularly dealing with co-occurring disorders, will be given preference. Familiarity with telehealth delivery and experience in providing treatment remotely could also enhance your candidacy. Training in trauma-informed care or additional certifications in substance use treatment will be considered advantageous.

We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 115,000 to 130,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
