Our practice focuses primarily on patients with private insurance and is famed for its state-of-the-art facility designed specifically for sports medicine and orthopedic rehabilitation. Our extensive 5,000 square foot space fosters a collaborative approach, allowing our team of two physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant to work closely to improve each patient's recovery experience.

Work Environment

This role is onsite at our outpatient office in Jacksonville, Florida. The facility is designed with modern amenities to create a positive atmosphere where healing can happen. The working hours are Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, affording a stable schedule while maximizing patient care during regular business hours. As we prioritize each patient's needs, you will have the opportunity to conduct one-on-one sessions, ensuring focused and undivided attention to their rehabilitation.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to understand the unique goals and requirements of each patient.
• Manage a patient caseload effectively, providing individualized care for one patient per hour.
• Design, implement, and adapt comprehensive treatment plans that employ a variety of therapeutic techniques.
• Apply cost-effective treatment strategies that focus on enhancing mobility while reducing reliance on medications when possible.
• Utilize your expertise in manual therapy and exercise protocols to facilitate healing and progress.
• Encourage and motivate patients throughout their recovery, creating tailored fitness and wellness programs tailored to their specific needs.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including other healthcare professionals, to ensure holistic patient care.
• Evaluate treatment outcomes, monitor progress consistently, and maintain meticulous documentation of all patient interactions and services provided.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As part of Open Play Physical Therapy, you will primarily work with orthopedic patients who are often recovering from sports injuries, surgeries, and musculoskeletal disorders. Our diverse patient population appreciates our hands-on approach and commitment to evidence-based treatment solutions that prioritize optimal recovery and function.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• A valid Florida state license to practice as a Physical Therapist is essential.
• Must maintain a clean professional record, free of any board or disciplinary actions.
• Proficiency in manual therapy techniques and a proven ability to develop and implement effective exercise protocols.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR), specifically the use of WebPT, is preferred.

Preferred Experience

• At least 2 years of experience as a practicing Physical Therapist, particularly in an orthopedic outpatient setting, is strongly desired.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from $120,000 to $140,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
