The Life Rhythm Psychotherapy Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our expanding team. This full-time position offers the unique opportunity to work remotely while providing essential mental health care for individuals who have experienced trauma. You will be instrumental in helping patients on their journey to recovery from trauma-related conditions such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders.

Work Environment\n

The therapist will work remotely, providing flexible and effective therapy solutions to our patients. Our work hours are Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some scheduling flexibility as required by patient needs. This position requires a commitment to maintaining a compassionate and professional presence, supported by an integrated team of psychiatrists and social workers who share a common goal of holistic healing.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to accurately evaluate patients’ trauma history.

• Develop, implement, and regularly update individualized treatment plans that promote trauma recovery and resilience.
\n
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including but not limited to Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Lead individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing a variety of techniques to facilitate discussion, coping, and healing.
\n
• Coordinate with psychiatrists and other health professionals to ensure comprehensive care and address co-occurring mental health concerns.

• Deliver crisis intervention services for patients experiencing trauma-related emergencies, ensuring a calm and supportive response.
\n
• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, recovery processes, and available community resources.
\n
• Maintain accurate, confidential, and detailed documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
\n
• Participate actively in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development opportunities, focusing on trauma-informed practices.

• Continuously engage with current research and advancements in the field of trauma therapy to enhance therapeutic approaches.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The ideal candidate will work primarily with adults of varying backgrounds who have experienced significant trauma, including military veterans, survivors of abuse, and individuals navigating life-altering events. Our trauma-focused approach is rooted in empathy, aiming to empower clients during their healing process by fostering resilience and integrating their life experiences into a cohesive narrative.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Clinical Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and active licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in the state of California is essential.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling is preferred, showcasing expertise in trauma recovery.

• Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and familiarity with trauma-informed modalities that promote healing.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with a compassionate, non-judgmental demeanor.

• Capability to work calmly and effectively under pressure.

• Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and various digital platforms for client management.

• Must thrive in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment.

Preferred Experience\n

• Demonstrable experience with trauma-focused therapeutic techniques and a history of successful patient outcomes.

• Previous work in an outpatient setting specializing in trauma-informed care is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The position offers an annual salary range of USD 90,000 – 110,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
