Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to discern their needs and develop bespoke treatment plans, taking into account their history and specific orthopedic conditions.
• Communicate clearly with patients and their families about evaluation findings and actively involve them in the goal-setting process.
• Implement evidence-based treatment protocols that are informed by evaluation results and current best practices, adapting as patient progress dictates.
• Consult with other healthcare professionals regularly to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to patient care, documenting any necessary changes in treatment plans.
• Oversee discharge planning and ensure patients receive appropriate follow-up care, maintaining comprehensive and timely documentation of patient progress using WebPT EMR Software.
• Manage your schedule effectively to meet patient care and productivity requirements, while also participating in marketing initiatives to promote services.
• Contribute to department objectives by adhering to regulatory standards, and actively seeking opportunities for professional development and competency enhancement.
• Engage in team efforts to streamline patient access to care, utilizing metrics to identify and eliminate barriers for patients seeking rehabilitation services.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with patients who have orthopedic conditions requiring rehabilitation, including post-operative recovery, sports injuries, and chronic pain syndromes. Your ability to build rapport and trust will be paramount, as these individuals often seek not only physical recovery but also increased quality of life through improved mobility and function.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required for this role.
• A valid Florida Physical Therapist license, with no record of board or disciplinary actions against it.
• Demonstrated expertise in manual therapy techniques and the ability to design and implement customized exercise protocols.
• Proficient in the use of WebPT EMR Software for efficient documentation and patient tracking.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working in an outpatient physical therapy setting, with a focus on orthopedic rehabilitation.
• History of successful patient outcomes and high levels of patient satisfaction.
• Experience in mentoring or clinical instruction of student physical therapists is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
