Work Environment

This position involves work in a home care setting, serving patients in the comfort of their own environments. As an onsite team member, you will engage directly with individuals who are recovering from orthopedic injuries and conditions, ensuring that the rehabilitation process is personalized and conducive to their needs. The full-time schedule is Monday to Friday, allowing for a predictable work-life balance while providing critical physical therapy services.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients, which includes reviewing medical histories, performing range of motion assessments, and determining personalized treatment plans.
• Effectively communicate assessment results and treatment options to patients and their families, fostering engagement in goal-setting for rehabilitation.
• Demonstrate proficiency in applying treatment techniques tailored to the evaluation findings, including therapeutic exercises and modalities, to enhance patient outcomes.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care, recognizing when to refer for additional medical or rehabilitation consultation.
• Document all patient interactions diligently and accurately, including initial evaluations, daily progress notes, and final discharge summaries, to maintain regulatory compliance and ensure quality care continuity.
• Participate in departmental initiatives aimed at optimizing patient access and satisfaction, including community outreach and education efforts.
• Engage in continuing education opportunities to enhance professional skills and knowledge, contributing to both personal growth and the overall advancement of the rehabilitation department.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will predominantly serve an outpatient population comprised of individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports-related injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Understanding the unique challenges faced by patients in their recovery journey is essential; therefore, you will tailor therapies not just to improve physical function but to empower and support patients in achieving their personal rehabilitation goals.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy is required; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy is preferred.
• A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Florida is necessary.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association for Healthcare Providers is mandatory.

Preferred Experience

While prior work experience is not required, candidates with hands-on experience in outpatient orthopedic settings and familiarity with patient-centered care practices will be given priority. Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this role ranges between $100,000 and $120,000 annually, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package including:
