Work Environment\n

Key Responsibilities\n

As a Clinical Mental Health Counselor, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough assessments to evaluate the severity, frequency, and duration of clients’ mood disorder symptoms.

• Working collaboratively with clients to create personalized treatment plans tailored to their individual goals and preferences.

• Utilizing evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to provide effective treatment for mood disorders.

• Offering education and resources to clients and their families regarding mood disorders, available treatment options, and self-care techniques.

• Continuously monitoring client progress, documenting changes, and adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Collaborating with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to deliver a holistic treatment approach.

• Remaining current on the latest research and best practices in the field to enhance your therapeutic effectiveness.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily focus on individuals dealing with mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety disorders. You will have the opportunity to engage with a wide range of clients, from those seeking brief interventions to individuals requiring long-term support. Qualifications\n

To be considered for this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s or Doctorate degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker), LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor), LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist), or Psychologist in Texas.

• A strong understanding of evidence-based treatment modalities, particularly CBT and DBT.
\n
• Knowledge of psychopharmacology and the ability to coordinate care effectively with psychiatrists.

• Documented success in the treatment of mood disorders with positive patient outcomes.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to establish rapport and build trust with clients.

Preferred Experience\n
