Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations and preliminary interviews, ensuring thorough documentation from the initial consultation to the conclusion of treatment.

• Establish and customize intervention and recovery plans based on individual assessments for a diverse client demographic, including children, adolescents, adults, and families.

• Facilitate both individual therapy sessions and group therapy workshops, fostering a supportive and engaging atmosphere conducive to healing and growth.

• Monitor client progress throughout their treatment plans, adjusting strategies as needed and maintaining open lines of communication with clients regarding their journey.

• Collaborate proactively with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, physicians, nurses, and social workers, to coordinate comprehensive care and interventions.

• Identify barriers to recovery and implement strategies to mitigate risks, ensuring clients remain focused on their mental health goals.

• Provide support and education to family members of clients, offering resources and strategies to assist them in managing their loved ones’ mental health challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role offers the opportunity to work with a broad range of client issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction disorders. You will serve individuals, couples, and families, adapting your therapeutic approach to meet diverse needs. Qualifications\n

• Hold a Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Possess valid licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New Jersey.

• Achieve passing scores on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems, preferably AVATAR, for efficient case management.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective interactions with clients and multidisciplinary teams.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience as a mental health counselor, particularly in a telehealth or remote setting.

• Understanding of varying physical health conditions and their correlation with mental health.

• Familiarity with American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices for ethical and effective counseling.

• In-depth knowledge of prescribed medications and their potential effects, providing essential insight for client care.

• Strong interpersonal skills, characterized by an innate empathy and a genuine desire to assist clients in their healing journeys.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000, complemented by a competitive benefits package.
