Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations through initial assessments and ongoing consultations, meticulously documenting client progress and treatment outcomes.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, intervention strategies, and recovery pathways tailored to meet each client's unique needs and goals.

• Facilitate engaging therapy sessions—both individual and group—utilizing a variety of therapeutic modalities to enhance client understanding and coping strategies.

• Regularly assess treatment progress and make timely adjustments to therapeutic interventions as necessary to ensure continued client engagement and recovery.

• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of health professionals, including psychiatrists and social workers, to foster holistic treatment plans and seamless service delivery.

• Maintain proactive communication with referral sources and provide follow-up services as necessary for clients transitioning to or from different levels of care.

Qualifications\n

• Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW within New Jersey.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record systems such as AVATAR to maintain accurate documentation and client tracking.
\n
• In-depth knowledge of mental health disorders and therapeutic interventions tailored to children, adolescents, and adults.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years’ experience working in clinical mental health counseling, particularly in telehealth settings.

• Demonstrable understanding of the latest best practices within the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) guidelines.

• Experience working with individuals facing dual diagnoses, encompassing both mental health disorders and addiction issues.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport quickly in a virtual environment.
