Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations and document findings meticulously from initial consultations through to treatment outcomes.

• Develop personalized treatment and recovery plans tailored to the unique needs of individuals, couples, families, and group settings.
\n
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions using evidence-based practices, promoting recovery and mental wellness.
\n
• Monitor and assess client progress throughout treatment, making necessary adjustments to interventions based on ongoing evaluations.
\n
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals, including physicians, nurses, and social workers, to ensure cohesive care delivery.
\n
• Maintain open communication with supervising psychiatrists and other healthcare providers regarding the mental health status of clients who may require hospitalization.
\n
• Identify risk factors and mitigate behaviors that may hinder recovery through proactive engagement with clients and their families.
\n
• Provide guidance and support to family members and caregivers facing challenges associated with mental health issues.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily serves individuals facing a variety of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and trauma. Clients may range from children and adolescents to adults and families, offering counselors a rich and varied caseload. Qualifications\n

• Education: A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Licensure: Must hold a current and valid license as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in California.

• Examinations: Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE) is essential.

• Experience: Prior experience as a mental health counselor or therapist is necessary to ensure immediate effectiveness in this role.

• Tech Proficiency: Familiarity with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, is preferred to guarantee efficient documentation and client tracking.

• Experience working with individuals experiencing co-occurring physical, mental, or addiction disorders.

• Knowledge of the best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) to ensure compliance and quality service delivery.

• In-depth understanding of pharmacological interventions prescribed by medical professionals and their implications for mental health.

• Demonstrated capacity for excellent written and verbal communication skills, facilitating effective patient interaction.

• Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate approach to client care.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The position offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $100,000 annually, complemented by a sign-on bonus for qualified candidates.
