Key Responsibilities\n

As a Mental Health Counselor at Pulse Wave, your daily responsibilities will include:

• Conducting initial assessments to establish clients' mental health status and personal challenges.

• Developing personalized therapy plans informed by evidence-based practices and the unique needs of each client.

• Facilitating regular therapy sessions, both one-on-one and in group settings, focusing on equipping clients with the necessary coping mechanisms to overcome their mental health challenges.

• Utilizing crisis intervention techniques effectively and maintaining composed communication during high-stress situations.

• Providing referrals to other healthcare professionals, such as psychiatrists or specialized therapists, when additional support or intervention is required.

• Maintaining accurate documentation of therapy sessions, assessments, and progress in compliance with EHR protocols.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work predominantly with a diverse client base, including individuals experiencing anxiety, depressive disorders, trauma-related issues, and substance use disorders. Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid state license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW.
\n
• At least one year of clinical experience with a focus on diverse populations and a range of mental health disorders.

• A comprehensive understanding of evidence-based treatment modalities pertinent to mental health.

• Strong experience in facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions, alongside a commitment to culturally responsive practices.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of one year of experience is required, candidates with two or more years of related experience in a clinical setting will be given preference. Specialized training in crisis intervention, trauma-informed care, or substance abuse counseling will also be considered advantageous.
