Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients to identify their needs, challenges, and mental health history, ensuring accurate evaluations.

• Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy tailored to the unique needs of each client.

• Facilitate individual, group, couples, and family therapy sessions, providing a safe environment for clients to explore their feelings and experiences.
\n
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring confidentiality and best practices in all client interactions.
\n
• Engage in ongoing professional development by attending workshops and conferences relevant to the mental health field, thereby staying informed of the latest research and therapeutic techniques.

• Collaborate effectively with fellow team members, sharing insights and strategies to enhance overall client outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with a varied patient population, including individuals facing challenges related to trauma, relationship issues, substance use, anxiety, and depression. Our clients often come from underserved communities in Brownsville, Texas, where mental health services are critically limited. Your role as an LPC will be to provide these individuals and families the support and therapeutic interventions they need to navigate their difficulties and promote healing.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.
\n
• Valid and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas.
\n
• A minimum of two years of relevant clinical counseling experience is mandatory.
\n
• Demonstrated understanding of legal and ethical standards within the mental health profession is essential.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to build rapport across diverse demographics.

• Experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems to document client interactions and treatment plans effectively is preferred.

Preferred Experience\n

• Specialization in areas related to family therapy, couples therapy, substance misuse treatment, or trauma-informed care is highly advantageous.

• Experience working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team setting, contributing to a cohesive client care experience.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The compensation range for this position is between USD 70,000 and 90,000 annually, based on your experience and client caseload. Additional benefits include:
