Position Overview

Skin Elixir Clinic is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant (PA) specializing in dermatology to join our dynamic medical team in East Amherst, New York. This is a full-time, onsite position located within a state-of-the-art surgical center, where our focus is on providing exemplary patient care in a collaborative and supportive environment. The annual salary for this role ranges from USD 90,000 to 125,000, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough examinations of patients presenting with various dermatological conditions, accurately documenting clinical actions and patient progress following established company protocols.
• Order and interpret laboratory tests, including blood work, to ensure comprehensive patient assessment and diagnosis.
• Administer medical and minor surgical procedures such as injections, mole removals, and suturing as necessary, demonstrating a strong skill set and confidence in clinical techniques.
• Engage with patients and their families, providing education and counseling about treatment options, preventive skincare, and self-care practices.
• Ensure patient confidentiality and adhere to legal, ethical, and professional standards in all clinical interactions.
• Communicate with the Medical Director regarding staff input and operational improvements to enhance workflow and patient satisfaction.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to foster clinical excellence and elevate patient care outcomes.
• Manage charting responsibilities diligently, maintaining accurate and timely records of all clinical transactions, orders, and patient communications.
• To excel in this role, you must thrive in a fast-paced environment, primarily working Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program is required.
• Current CPR certification and a valid state license to practice.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and common healthcare software applications.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English, essential for patient interaction and documentation.
• Ability to work autonomously while making prudent and timely clinical decisions as necessary.
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients, families, and team members

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of clinical experience as a practicing Physician Assistant, preferably in dermatology or a related field.
• Experience with a diverse range of dermatological procedures and patient management protocols.
• Strong computer literacy and prior experience with EHR systems is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret clinical data effectively.
• A commitment to continuous professional development and keeping current with dermatological advancements.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 125,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
