Work Environment

Your role will be based onsite at our state-of-the-art Surgical Center, designed to provide an optimal environment for patient care. You will experience a supportive and collaborative culture that values teamwork and innovation. The typical work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing you a work-life balance while being dedicated to caring for our patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including obtaining medical histories, performing physical exams, and ordering diagnostic tests necessary for accurate diagnosis.
• Perform a variety of minor procedures and surgical interventions as guided by attending physicians, ranging from wound care to joint injections, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in conjunction with supervising physicians, focusing on effective management of acute health issues.
• Educate patients on their medical conditions, treatment choices, and lifestyle adjustments that promote ongoing wellness and adherence to care plans.
• Maintain detailed and accurate medical records, documenting all patient interactions and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with legal and organizational standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our urgent care facility serves a broad spectrum of patients, including individuals with acute illnesses and injuries who require immediate attention. You will engage with a diverse client population, from pediatric to geriatric, emphasizing culturally sensitive care tailored to each patient's unique background and health needs. Your ability to provide empathetic and knowledgeable care will be pivotal in creating a welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.
• Active certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• Valid state licensure as a Physician Assistant in New York.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on patient education and team collaboration.
• A strong dedication to teamwork within a performance-driven health system alongside a commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant in an urgent care setting is preferred.
• Experience with electronic medical records systems and familiarity with surgical procedures will be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

This role offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 150,000 to 180,000 yearly, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
