Parkland Health and Hospital PC is actively seeking dedicated and experienced Nurse Practitioners to join our vibrant team in Tonawanda, New York. Work Environment

This full-time position requires onsite work at our outpatient facility. You will work a standard schedule of 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday, concluding at 5:00 PM. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and evaluate patient medical histories to guide appropriate care.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as blood work and X-rays, to assist with accurate diagnoses.
• Diagnose health conditions, including acute and chronic illnesses, while considering the patient's comprehensive medical history.
• Formulate treatment plans for managing chronic diseases and acute health issues, ensuring patient safety and efficacy.
• Prescribe necessary medications based on patient needs and collaborates with the healthcare team on care plans.
• Keep thorough and accurate medical records while managing patient schedules effectively.
• Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, and preventive care practices to promote overall health.
• Advocate for health maintenance and illness prevention strategies.
• Continuously engage in professional development and participate in research initiatives to enhance clinical expertise.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily serve a diverse patient population in a community setting. Your practice will include a range of age groups and health issues, from preventive care to chronic disease management. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing, with a valid New York State Nurse Practitioner license.
• Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) certification is required.
• A current DEA number to prescribe medications.
• Outstanding communication skills and a strong ethical framework.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a healthcare team.

Preferred Experience

• Proven experience as a Nurse Practitioner in primary care, urgent care, acute care, or emergency settings.
• Hands-on experience and proficiency in managing health assessments and interventions.
• Bilingual capabilities are a plus, enhancing communication with a wider range of patients.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time Nurse Practitioner position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 140,000 to 180,000 annually, depending on experience. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
