Key Responsibilities\n

• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team in developing comprehensive treatment plans, including discharge strategies, based on thorough psychosocial assessments and evidence-informed practices.

• Establish strong working relationships with community resource leaders and represent MindShift Behavioral Health during relevant meetings and committees to address the broader social needs of our patients.

• Provide crisis intervention and counseling services to patients, conducting assessments and treatment for a range of emotional and behavioral challenges while employing effective evidence-based strategies.
\n
• Maintain open lines of communication with referring physicians and other medical staff to discuss patient progress, ongoing needs, and any potential or actual concerns that arise during treatment.

• Accurately document all clinical interactions, including progress notes and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with departmental policies and promoting continuity of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The Licensed Mental Health Counselor will primarily work with adults and adolescents experiencing a variety of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, substance abuse issues, and trauma-related disorders. You will play an integral role in enhancing their coping strategies and overall resilience through individualized and group therapeutic approaches.

Qualifications\n

• A minimum of three years of experience in an outpatient mental health setting is required.

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is essential.
\n
• Possession of a valid license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Oregon is necessary.

• A strong foundation in theories, assessment tools, and evidence-based treatment modalities is crucial for effectively supporting our diverse patient population.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for collaborating with both clients and interdisciplinary team members.

Preferred Experience\n

Experience working in a telehealth setting and familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems are highly desirable. Additionally, candidates with specialized training in trauma-informed care or substance abuse treatment will be prioritized to ensure our services address the diverse needs of our clientele comprehensively.

Compensation and Benefits\n
