Position Overview

Summerfield Mental and Wellness Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our dynamic team as a full-time remote Mental Health Counselor. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct culturally sensitive, strengths-based assessments for new patients and their families to develop individualized care plans.
• Deliver evidence-based individual and family therapy sessions that address the specific needs and goals outlined during the assessment process.
• Maintain accurate billing, documentation, and treatment plans within established time frames to facilitate seamless care and compliance with insurance providers.
• Develop and implement crisis intervention plans, safety strategies, relapse prevention plans, and wellness plans to support ongoing stability for clients.
• Create comprehensive discharge plans to ensure clients have the necessary resources and support post-therapy.
• Adhere strictly to all federal and state regulations, fulfilling the requirements of licensure and our organizational policies.
• Continuously pursue professional development through training and continuing education to enhance skills and knowledge relevant to mental health care.
• Actively engage in case consultations and staff meetings to enhance team collaboration and improve service delivery.
• Complete all mandatory training requirements to maintain licensure and remain compliant with industry standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our client population consists of individuals from diverse backgrounds, many of whom face varying degrees of mental health challenges. As a Mental Health Counselor, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of demographics, including children, adults, and families dealing with issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship difficulties. Your role is to help these individuals navigate their journeys toward enhanced emotional well-being through tailored therapeutic interventions.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or a related field that qualifies for licensed practice is required.
• Must possess a current and valid license as a Mental Health Therapist (LCPC, LMFT, LCSW-C) in the state of Maryland.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in providing culturally competent therapy to diverse populations.
• Prior experience working in community health clinics or similar settings is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Proficient in managing electronic health records and documentation software.

Compensation and Benefits
