Work Environment

You will work primarily onsite at our Rehabilitation Center in Tampa, Florida, a facility equipped with modern technologies and therapeutic tools essential for effective rehabilitation. Key Responsibilities

• Direct and implement physical therapy treatment plans aimed at alleviating pain, enhancing mobility, and preventing disability in clients. These plans are developed in collaboration with the client and their healthcare providers.
• Oversee and guide Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure effective implementation of individualized treatment plans, providing mentorship and supervision as required by state regulations.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients' physical capabilities using diagnostic tools and performance tests, allowing for the development of appropriate intervention strategies.
• Assess the client's home environment, suggesting modifications and enabling recommendations to foster independence during the rehabilitation process.
• Provide in-home physical therapy services as prescribed, ensuring adherence to the established care plans while documenting progress accurately.
• Utilize various therapeutic modalities, including manual therapy techniques and equipment, to maximize patient outcomes and promote functional independence.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team during case conferences to refine treatment strategies and align care with client goals.
• Document and review clinical records meticulously, including initial evaluations, treatment progress notes, and discharge plans, ensuring precise and timely clinical documentation.
• Educate clients and their families on the use and maintenance of therapy modalities, empowering them to participate actively in their recovery.
• Participate in the ongoing development and revision of care plans based on client progress and condition changes, communicating necessary adjustments with the healthcare team.
• Remain accessible to support Physical Therapy Assistants during treatment sessions, ensuring quality care and adherence to safety protocols.
• Contribute to additional tasks and responsibilities as directed to meet organizational objectives and enhance client care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will work with a diverse population, including post-operative patients, individuals recovering from injuries, and those with chronic disabilities. Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Active and unencumbered Physical Therapist license from the State of Florida.
• A history free from any board sanctions or ethical violations.
• Competence in utilizing various manual therapy techniques to facilitate optimal patient outcomes.
• Strong ability to devise and implement effective exercise programs tailored to individual patient capabilities.
• Proficiency in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software, particularly WebPT, for accurate and efficient clinical documentation.
• Current knowledge of research-supported physical therapy methodologies.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in a rehabilitation setting, with a track record of successfully managing varied patient cases.
• Previous experience supervising or mentoring Physical Therapy Assistants is advantageous.
• Familiarity with community resources and the ability to integrate them into client care plans.
