Key Responsibilities

• Direct the physical therapy treatment process, focusing on preventing disabilities and relieving pain while enhancing patients' physical capabilities according to individualized treatment plans.
• Oversee and guide physical therapy assistants, ensuring the consistent and accurate implementation of care plans.
• Conduct thorough evaluations to assess clients' levels of function using diagnostic tests to determine treatment paths.
• Assess the home environment to develop appropriate rehabilitation strategies that promote client independence.
• Deliver physical therapy services based on physician prescriptions, adapting sessions to meet the changing needs of clients.
• Administer manual therapy techniques, instruct clients in non-manual exercises, and facilitate functional activities to enhance their rehabilitation process.
• Evaluate, fit, and adjust orthopedic devices, providing recommendations for modifications to physicians.
• Develop, review, and revise care plans, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive treatment approaches.
• Maintain meticulous clinical records, including initial evaluations, care plans, and progress notes, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Engage in interdisciplinary conferences to assess and optimize overall treatment strategies for patients.
• Teach clients and their families about physical therapy protocols and on the use of physical therapy equipment.
• Provide supervision and instruction to Physical Therapy Assistants, ensuring they deliver care within their competency levels according to state law.
• Complete functional assessments and adjust care plans as necessary based on client progress and needs.
• Be available for consultation and support to Physical Therapy Assistants during treatment sessions.
• Take on additional assignments as required to fulfill the objectives and goals of InSearch Therapeutics.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Physical Therapist will work predominantly with a diverse patient population characterized by various rehabilitation needs, including post-operative recovery, chronic pain management, and those requiring mobility improvements due to neurological or musculoskeletal conditions. Our approach prioritizes patient comfort and satisfaction, delivering care that respects their individual circumstances and promotes gradual recovery.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) program from a recognized institution.
• Possession of an active and unblemished Physical Therapist license in Florida.
• Exemplary track record as a Physical Therapist without any history of sanctions or board proceedings.

Preferred Experience

• Extensive knowledge of manual therapy techniques and a proven ability to create effective exercise programs tailored to individual needs.
• Proficient in using electronic medical record (EMR) software, particularly Web PT, for accurate documentation and practice management.
• Stay informed on the latest evidence-based physical therapy techniques to ensure best practices in patient care.
