Work Environment

This role requires you to work on-site, providing therapy in patients' homes, which allows for a personal touch in treatment and engagement with families. The typical work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM. As a physical therapist in the home care setting, you will travel to various locations within the Tampa area, allowing for flexibility and the opportunity to impact your local community directly.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical capabilities, assessing their strength, balance, and mobility to identify needs.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans using evidence-based practices and advanced diagnostic techniques.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic methodologies, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and neuromuscular re-education, to facilitate recovery and improve functionality.
• Monitor patients' progress and modify treatment plans as necessary to optimize rehabilitation outcomes.
• Provide education to patients and their families regarding rehabilitation strategies, injury prevention, and effective home exercise programs tailored to individual needs.
• Collaborate actively with physicians, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
• Communicate clearly with patients and families throughout the rehabilitation process to foster engagement and adherence to treatment protocols.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be working predominantly with orthopedic patients, including those recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. This role involves hands-on interactions with a diverse patient demographic, allowing you to utilize your skills to make a meaningful difference in their recovery journey.

Qualifications

• A valid Physical Therapy license in the state of Florida.
• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree or equivalent from an accredited institution.
