Work Environment

Your primary work setting will be in patients' homes in the vibrant city of Tampa, Florida. This environment allows for personalized, one-on-one interactions with patients while fostering strong relationships with families and caregivers. Flex Fitness provides a supportive atmosphere where you can thrive professionally while maintaining work-life balance. Our therapists work Monday through Thursday from 3 PM to 7 PM, with a flexible Friday schedule comprising a four-hour day shift, allowing for a manageable work week.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive screening, testing, evaluating, diagnosing, and treating of patients using state-of-the-art physical therapy modalities and procedures.
• Maintain thorough documentation for each patient encounter that meets all regulatory and departmental requirements.
• Develop and implement individualized patient care plans based on thorough evaluations, physician referrals, and overall patient history.
• Educate and empower patients and caregivers through consultations that promote patient self-management and recovery goals.
• Supervise the services provided by physical therapy assistants and aides, ensuring a high standard of patient care is consistently met.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient satisfaction and clinical outcomes, including audits and training sessions.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure effective communication around patient needs and treatment plans.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position caters to a broad demographic, providing care to neonates, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients. Your expertise will help address various physical rehabilitation needs, tailoring treatments and modalities to fit specific populations, ultimately enhancing recovery and quality of life.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current state Physical Therapist license.
• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited physical therapy program is required.
• An understanding of standard physical therapy practices and modalities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and colleagues.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of previous clinical experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
