Work Environment

The Orthopedic Rehabilitation Center operates on-site with a vibrant, collaborative atmosphere. As a member of our team, you will work alongside two other experienced physical therapists and a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA). Our environment fosters open communication, teamwork, and ongoing professional development while primarily serving patients covered by private medical insurance. The standard work schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify and meet each patient's specific goals and rehabilitation needs.
• Manage a caseload of 2-3 patients per hour, ensuring effective and individualized therapy sessions.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans employing a variety of orthopedic rehabilitation techniques.
• Utilize evidence-based interventions to enhance patient outcomes and promote mobility while minimizing reliance on medications and invasive procedures.
• Instruct and encourage patients during their treatment to foster motivation and confidence in their recovery journey.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coherent care coordination and comprehensive treatment delivery.
• Maintain detailed documentation of patient care activities, progress, and outcomes using EMR software such as WebPT.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on orthopedic outpatient cases, treating a diverse demographic of patients recovering from joint surgery, sports injuries, or other musculoskeletal conditions. Your expertise will be critical in developing targeted rehabilitation strategies that not only aim for recovery but also focus on enhancing overall physical performance.

Qualifications

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid Florida Physical Therapist License with no disciplinary actions or board violations.
• Strong manual therapy skills complemented by a solid foundation in exercise-based therapies.
• Proficiency in using EMR systems, specifically WebPT, for streamlined patient management.

Preferred Experience

A minimum of two years of experience in orthopedic outpatient therapy is required. Candidates with experience in sports medicine or advanced rehabilitation techniques will be given preference. A proven track record of successful patient outcomes through individualized care is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
