Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to understand clients' mental health histories and develop appropriate treatment plans.

• Utilize proven therapeutic modalities—such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness practices—to provide individualized therapy sessions.

• Collaborate with clients to establish therapeutic goals, closely monitoring their progress and adjusting treatment plans as necessary.

• Facilitate teletherapy sessions for clients who may prefer virtual meetings, ensuring accessibility for those facing mobility or transportation challenges.

• Maintain up-to-date and accurate documentation in compliance with ethical and regulatory standards, ensuring confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

• Participate in ongoing professional development, attending training sessions, workshops, and peer supervision to refine clinical skills and keep abreast of best practices.

Qualifications\n

• Must possess a current and valid license for practice as a mental health counselor in the state of New York, including but not limited to Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• A Master’s degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology is required for this role.

• Demonstrated ability to establish a safe, trusting, and compassionate therapeutic relationship with clients.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to convey empathy and understanding of client experiences.
