Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations by reviewing patient history and performing specific physical assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans based on individual needs.
• Collaborate with patients and their families to explain evaluation findings and develop achievable goals that incorporate their input into the treatment plan.
• Implement and adjust treatment protocols according to patient responses, clinical findings, and emerging healthcare practices, ensuring the highest standards of care.
• Consult with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals as necessary, recognizing and documenting any changes in patient conditions that may affect the treatment plan.
• Manage discharge planning and follow-up care efficiently, documenting patient encounters with clarity and precision to reflect progress. This includes maintaining legible daily notes, interim summaries, and final evaluations.
• Exhibit effective time management skills to meet productivity expectations while ensuring scheduled appointments are reliable, prompt, and organized.
• Participate actively in community engagement and marketing efforts to enhance service accessibility and patient experience.
• Contribute to the overarching goals of the department, ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory standards and fostering professional development within the team.
• Seek out and participate in continuing education opportunities to enhance clinical expertise and serve as a mentor for aspiring clinicians.
• Embrace a customer-focused approach to care, facilitating a supportive environment that values patient feedback and promotes open communication.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The patients in our outpatient facility range from post-operative rehabilitation to those seeking care for chronic pain or musculoskeletal conditions. Our diverse clientele includes individuals of all ages, each requiring personalized treatment strategies that align with their unique health goals. Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• A valid DPT license in Virginia is mandatory.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers through the American Heart Association.
• All state regulations regarding licensure and practice must be adhered to, depending on your location.

Preferred Experience

• While a minimum of two years of experience is preferred, recent graduates with strong clinical backgrounds will also be considered.
• Experience working in outpatient rehabilitation settings is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
