Work Environment\n

This role offers flexibility with a remote work setting and regular office hours from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. While you will mainly work from home, our outpatient office in Long Beach serves as an accessible hub for collaboration, meetings, and client sessions when necessary. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough clinical assessments to understand clients’ histories, presenting issues, and needs. Develop personalized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based practices tailored to each individual.

• Provide therapeutic interventions, implementing modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), which empower clients and guide them towards recovery.

• Maintain accurate clinical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring confidentiality while documenting patient progress and treatment plans.

• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary treatment team including psychiatrists, psychologists, and peer support specialists to create comprehensive care strategies.

• Engage in weekly case consultations and peer reviews to refine therapeutic techniques, share insights, and foster collective professional growth.

• Offer educational support to clients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment pathways, and the resources available within the community.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clinic serves a diverse population that includes individuals facing trauma, anxiety, depression, and various other mental health disorders. Our therapists are equipped to adapt their therapeutic approach to meet the unique needs of each client, creating a safe and understanding space for healing and growth. In addition to individual therapy, there may be opportunities to lead group therapy sessions, depending on your expertise and interests.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• An active license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) within the state of California.

• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish therapeutic relationships based on trust and empathy.

• Strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking abilities that allow for effective decision-making in complex situations.

Preferred Experience\n

A minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting preferred.
