Work Environment

As a Senior Physical Therapist at our rehabilitation center, you will work in an onsite environment Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM. You'll collaborate alongside a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including physicians, occupational therapists, and rehabilitation specialists. The supportive atmosphere fosters professional relationships that prioritize patient care and encourage teamwork to achieve optimal health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate the movement capabilities and rehabilitation needs of patients through comprehensive evaluations.
• Maintain a manageable patient load, typically servicing one patient per hour to ensure focused, quality care.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that incorporate a variety of methodologies including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and specialized equipment.
• Implement effective and cost-efficient therapies aimed at improving patients' range of motion, strength, and mobility while seeking to minimize the reliance on medications.
• Provide expert guidance on non-surgical treatment options and rehabilitation pathways.
• Inspire and motivate patients throughout their recovery journeys, providing emotional support and encouragement to foster a positive mindset.
• Document and track patient progress meticulously in our digital EMR software, such as WebPT, ensuring clear communication with the care team and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Regularly consult and collaborate with fellow healthcare providers to discuss treatment efficacy and adjust plans as needed.
• Stay current with physical therapy best practices and methodologies to ensure the highest standard of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our client population primarily consists of individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. We take pride in addressing diverse physical therapy needs, utilizing both traditional and innovative approaches tailored to the unique goals of each patient.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (MPT or DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid Physical Therapist license in the state of Florida and a clean record free of any board or disciplinary actions.
• Proficient in manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercise program design, and outcome measurement.
• Experience using EMR systems, specifically WebPT, to document care provided and manage patient information.

Preferred Experience

• Prior work experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting that showcases hands-on patient care and successful rehabilitation outcomes.
• Hands-on experience developing comprehensive wellness programs that enhance patient quality of life.

Compensation and Benefits
