Work Environment

This position is primarily onsite, with therapists working directly within the community, visiting patients in their homes. Our team utilizes a variety of specialized tools and equipment to assess and treat each patient based on their unique needs. The work schedule is flexible, with options for Monday through Friday shifts either from 8 AM to 4 PM or 9 AM to 5 PM, or even four 10-hour shifts, promoting work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to accurately identify movement impairments and functional limitations.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans focused on rehabilitating mobility, strength, and overall function tailored to each patient's specific circumstances.
• Collaborate with physicians, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate a comprehensive care strategy, sharing insights and progress updates to enhance overall patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and their caregivers on exercises, techniques, and lifestyle modifications to support rehabilitation efforts and prevent future injuries.
• Document therapy sessions and patient progress meticulously to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and facilitate effective communication within the healthcare team.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist at Movement System, you will primarily work with a diverse patient population requiring outpatient services. This may include elderly individuals recovering from surgery, adults with chronic conditions affecting mobility, and patients undergoing rehabilitation following sports injuries. Your role is crucial in providing personalized care in a comfortable, familiar environment—helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required.
• A valid Florida Physical Therapy License or eligibility is essential to practice in this dynamic setting.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
• Effective problem-solving abilities, allowing for quick adaptation and creative solutions during patient evaluations and treatments.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of experience as a licensed Physical Therapist in an outpatient or home care setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for maintaining accurate patient documentation and coordinating care is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
