Work Environment

The role is primarily onsite in a home care setting throughout Norfolk, Virginia, where you'll interact closely with patients in the comfort of their own homes. This position allows for a flexible work schedule, typically Monday to Friday, with hours ranging from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM or 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Azure Physical Therapy, you will:

• Evaluate and treat patients recovering from various injuries, diseases, or surgeries within their home environment, tailoring care to each individual's specific needs.
• Design and implement personalized treatment plans that incorporate exercises, stretching techniques, hands-on therapy, and appropriate equipment to alleviate pain and enhance mobility.
• Track and document each patient's progress, including treatment outcomes, responses, and reassess therapeutic goals on an ongoing basis.
• Recommend assistive devices as needed, aiding patients in self-care and mobility, thereby fostering their independence.
• Engage with patients, caregivers, and family members by providing training on the utilization of assistive modalities and physical therapy processes.
• Maintain and enhance your professional knowledge through continuous education, including workshops and professional publications.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your practice will engage with a diverse population, including children and adults of various ages. You will develop meaningful relationships with patients, contributing to their overall well-being and recovery process. Serving individuals in a home-setting allows you to provide personalized therapy that respects their unique circumstances and comfort levels.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• A valid state license to practice physical therapy in Virginia.
• A minimum of two years of hands-on experience in physical therapy.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, necessary for effective patient interaction and documentation.
• Proficiency in computer applications, including word processing, for managing patient records.
• A flexible attitude and agility in adapting to changing circumstances and patient needs.

Preferred Experience

While not required, prior experience in a home care setting is advantageous, as it equips you with unique insights into delivering therapy in a patient's personal living environment. Additional certifications or specialties will be considered a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

Azure Physical Therapy offers a competitive salary range of $90,000 to $110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to competitive pay, we provide a robust benefits package that includes:
