Work Environment

The physical therapist will be required to work onsite at our Rehabilitation Center, where rehabilitation practices are innovative and patient-centric. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical capabilities and needs, particularly focusing on those recovering from spine surgery and other orthopedic issues.
• Develop, implement, and modify personalized care plans based on individual patient evaluations and continued monitoring of progress.
• Ensure patient safety and support by demonstrating appropriate body mechanics and safety protocols while assisting in exercises and rehabilitation activities.
• Maintain clear and effective communication with patients, families, and inter-disciplinary team members to ensure seamless patient care and understanding of rehabilitation objectives.
• Participate in community health projects and educational initiatives, promoting wellness and preventive care within the Miami Beach community.
• Complete mandatory training on compliance and ethical conduct, upholding the standards set forth by Easy Start Therapy.
• Maintain documentation in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements while minimizing unnecessary paperwork to focus on patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our rehabilitation center serves a wide array of patients, focusing primarily on individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, including those related to the spine. This role requires a strong ability to build trust with patients who may be experiencing pain, anxiety, and challenges related to their recovery. Emphasizing empathetic and effective communication, you will help guide them through their rehabilitation journey, ensuring they feel supported and motivated to achieve their goals.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited program in physical therapy (BSPT, MSPT, or DPT) is required. Candidates graduating after 2003 must hold an MSPT or DPT degree.
• Must be currently registered and licensed to practice in the state of Florida, maintaining an active license in good standing throughout employment.
• CPR certification must be obtained upon hire and remain current during employment.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in outpatient orthopedics, particularly with a focus on spine rehabilitation, will be highly regarded.
• Proficiency in utilizing Microsoft Word, Excel, and email communication for documentation and reporting purposes.
• A proven track record of working effectively in a team environment, contributing to inter-disciplinary collaboration and positive patient outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits
