Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess patients' physical abilities and limitations, employing diagnostic tools to establish effective treatment plans tailored to individual needs.
• Implement evidence-based interventions to enhance mobility, relieve pain, and restore functional abilities to promote maximum independence.
• Oversee and mentor physical therapy assistants to ensure the accurate execution of therapeutic techniques and adherence to prescribed treatment protocols.
• Design and instruct personalized exercise programs, guiding patients through modifications and adaptations as necessary to meet their evolving needs.
• Evaluate patients' home environments and make recommendations aimed at optimizing rehabilitation and enhancing independence.
• Administer various therapeutic modalities including traction, massage, and other physical agents necessary for patient recovery.
• Develop and maintain meticulous clinical records, documenting evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries to ensure continuity of care.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss case management, share insights regarding patient progress, and collaboratively update treatment plans as needed.
• Educate patients and their families on the use and care of physical therapy devices, as well as the specifics of the total therapy program.
• Submit clinical paperwork and documentation efficiently to comply with organizational policies, ensuring timely service delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of one year of hands-on experience in an orthopedic setting.
