Orthopedic Physical Therapist - Full-Time Onsite

Position Overview

Thriving Journey Therapy, PLLC is actively seeking a skilled and compassionate Physical Therapist specializing in orthopedic care to join our dedicated team in Hialeah, Florida. In this full-time position, you will be instrumental in improving the quality of life for our clients through various physical therapy interventions. You will be responsible for developing personalized treatment plans aimed at preventing disabilities, relieving pain, and enhancing the functionality of our patients.

Work Environment

The Physical Therapist role is an onsite position within our home care framework, allowing for diverse interactions with clients in their home settings. This role encourages a more personalized approach to therapy, where you will work one-on-one with patients to assess their conditions and develop tailored treatment strategies. Scheduled working hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, promoting a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

• Directing physical therapy treatment plans with a focus on preventing disabilities, managing pain, and restoring muscle function in accordance with established care plans.
• Evaluating clients' functionality through comprehensive assessments, including diagnostic tests related to muscle, nerve, and joint capabilities.
• Administering therapeutic exercises, both manual and non-manual, while providing guidance and motivation to clients during their rehabilitation exercises.
• Using various physical modalities such as traction and massage to support patients in their recovery process.
• Fitting and adjusting prosthetic and orthotic devices, while providing recommendations for modifications to the overseeing physician.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse cohort of patients who may present with a range of orthopedic issues, including post-operative rehabilitation, sports injuries, and age-related musculoskeletal disorders. Your expertise will be vital in engaging geriatric patients, as well as younger populations requiring functional restoration due to injuries. The intimate nature of home care allows for a significantly impactful experience where you can witness firsthand the improvement in your clients' daily lives.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Master's Degree or Doctorate of Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• An active state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Florida.
• Minimum of two years of direct experience in physical therapy settings, particularly in orthopedics, geriatrics, acute care, or outpatient care.
• Demonstrated proficiency in orthopedic assessment, patient-care techniques, and development of comprehensive care plans.
• Exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems is preferred.

Preferred Experience

While the minimum requirement is two years of experience, priority will be given to candidates with advanced training in specific therapeutic techniques or certifications relevant to orthopedic care or other specializations. Experience in multidisciplinary team settings is also advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

This role offers an attractive salary range of $90,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
