Work Environment

This is an onsite position at our comprehensive rehabilitation center located in Hialeah, Florida. The center is equipped with modern rehabilitation tools and advanced therapeutic technologies designed to create an optimal environment for recovery. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical health and functional capabilities to determine their rehabilitation needs.
• Design and implement individualized treatment protocols that incorporate a variety of therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and education strategies.
• Regularly monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans based on patient feedback and clinical observations.
• Educate patients and their families on effective home exercise programs to support ongoing health improvement.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of healthcare professionals—including occupational therapists, speech therapists, and physicians—to deliver comprehensive care tailored to each patient's needs.
• Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems to maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at Active Balance, you will primarily work with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and musculoskeletal issues. Our clientele includes a diverse age range, from young athletes to older adults requiring rehabilitation for age-related conditions. This role allows you to significantly impact their recovery journey, focusing on restoring function, improving mobility, and enhancing overall quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Active State licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in physical therapy, particularly in orthopedic and outpatient settings.
• Proficient in various therapeutic modalities, including manual therapy and exercise interventions.
• Strong communication skills that foster effective collaboration with patients and interdisciplinary team members.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with industry practices.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in geriatrics, acute care, or sports rehabilitation will be beneficial.
• Familiarity with trigger point therapy and hospital-based treatments is a plus.
• Prior involvement in patient education initiatives is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
