Work Environment

This is an onsite position situated in our welcoming orthopedic outpatient facility. Working alongside a passionate team of two physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant (PTA), you will become part of a collaborative environment that prioritizes teamwork and innovation in treatment plans. The overall atmosphere is supportive, with resources available for professional development and continued education.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to identify their goals and specific requirements, ensuring personalized treatment plans
• Manage a patient caseload of one individual per hour, dedicating focused time to each patient's therapy
• Implement treatment techniques tailored to reduce pain, enhance mobility, and restore function, while being attentive to patients' feedback
• Develop and execute customized fitness and wellness programs based on individual assessments
• Utilize evidence-based practices to foster patient independence and promote healthy lifestyles through improved strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, forming multidisciplinary teams designed to provide holistic patient care
• Actively monitor and evaluate patient progress, documenting treatment outcomes and adapting care plans as necessary
• Educate patients about their conditions and the techniques being used, empowering them to play an active role in their recovery

Patient Population / Client Focus

The patients you will serve are primarily individuals under private medical insurance, requiring specialized care to address various orthopedic conditions. They may range from athletes recovering from sports injuries to seniors seeking rehabilitation after joint surgeries. Your compassionate approach and tailored treatment regimens will be crucial in fostering their rehabilitation journey.

Qualifications

• Earned a Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution
• Hold a valid, unrestricted state license as a Physical Therapist in Florida
• Maintain an impeccable professional record with no history of board or disciplinary actions
• Demonstrate strong competencies in manual therapy techniques and therapeutic modalities
• Exhibit expertise in developing and applying exercise protocols that meet diverse patient needs
• Possess proficiency in utilizing Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software, particularly WebPT, to track patient progress and maintain care documentation

Preferred Experience

• Experience in outpatient orthopedic settings is preferred, showcasing familiarity with sports medicine and injury rehabilitation
• History of successful patient management and evidence of effective treatment outcomes

Compensation and Benefits
