Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Performing comprehensive assessments of patients with orthopedic conditions, including evaluating strength, range of motion, and functional ability to develop individualized treatment plans.
• Implementing evidence-based treatment protocols tailored to each patient's specific needs and monitoring progress to make necessary adjustments to their care plan.
• Conducting thorough documentation of patient evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Working directly with patients to execute therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities aimed at promoting recovery and enhancing functional independence.
• Engaging in regular consultations with interdisciplinary teams to discuss patient conditions and adjust treatment protocols based on multidisciplinary input.
• Participating in facility meetings and contributing to quality improvement initiatives as well as community outreach programs.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population predominantly consists of individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. You will have the opportunity to work closely with a diverse group of patients, helping them regain mobility and improve their quality of life through customized rehabilitation strategies.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

• A Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited physical therapy program.
• A valid state license as a Physical Therapist (PT) from the appropriate licensing board.
• A minimum of two years of outpatient orthopedic experience.
• A current CPR certification.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with additional certifications, such as in manual therapy or orthopedics, and those with experience in utilizing electronic health records (EHR) systems, will be given preference. Familiarity with community rehabilitation programs and stakeholder engagement can also enhance your application.
