Work Environment

The successful candidate will work onsite in our modern rehabilitation facility located in Miami, Florida. This full-time position involves a Monday to Friday schedule of approximately 40 hours per week. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, participating in team meetings to discuss patient progress and strategize treatment approaches that align with best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Your primary responsibilities as an Orthopedic Physical Therapist will include:

• Conducting comprehensive evaluations of patients referred by physicians and developing individualized treatment plans based on their specific needs and goals.
• Implementing evidence-based treatment interventions utilizing modalities such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and patient education.
• Monitoring patient progress and adjusting treatment plans as necessary to optimize outcomes, maintaining detailed records and documentation as per regulatory standards.
• Actively engaging in ongoing communication with patients and their families, providing education about the rehabilitation process and exercises to be performed at home.
• Collaborating with other healthcare team members to enhance patient-centric care, participating in case reviews and contributing to overall department objectives.
• Meeting minimum utilization goals and other business objectives to ensure operational success.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at Tri-County Physical Therapy, you will primarily work with patients dealing with orthopedic conditions, which may include post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic pain management. Your clientele will also extend to pediatric orthopedic patients, neurologic individuals, and those requiring specialized treatment plans. This diverse patient population allows for a rich clinical experience, and you will be equipped to address a wide spectrum of rehabilitation needs.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an APTA or CAPTE-accredited program.
• A valid state license to practice physical therapy in Florida.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills appropriate for patient interactions and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Proficiency in word processing and basic computer systems, enabling effective documentation and reporting.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with previous experience in orthopedic rehabilitation, familiarity with various treatment modalities, and a demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with patients and their families will be highly valued. Compensation and Benefits
