Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical conditions and functional capabilities to determine individualized treatment plans.
• Implement comprehensive therapy sessions using a variety of techniques such as manual therapy, exercise instruction, and modal treatments.
• Maintain an appropriate patient load to ensure quality care and dedicated interaction, allowing ample time for adjustments and feedback based on patient progress.
• Monitor and evaluate patients' treatment effectiveness regularly, adjusting therapy plans and approaches as necessary for optimal outcomes.
• Educate patients on techniques to prevent injury and promote a healthy lifestyle, enhancing strength, flexibility, and coordination.
• Document all patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes accurately using EMR systems, particularly WebPT, to maintain comprehensive patient records.
• Promote non-surgical treatments and rehabilitation strategies that minimize dependency on medications and enhance the patient healing process.
• Collaborate effectively with other healthcare providers including physicians, occupational therapists, and rehabilitation specialists to ensure a cohesive approach to patient care.
• Motivate and support patients through their rehabilitation journey, boosting their confidence and adherence to therapy protocols.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an orthopedic physical therapist at Wellness Wise Physical Therapy, you will primarily work with a diverse outpatient population ranging from athletes recovering from injuries to elderly patients rehabilitating after surgery. Our focus on orthopedic care allows you to specialize in addressing conditions affecting the musculoskeletal system, tailoring treatments to meet the varying goals and needs of each patient.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program is required.
• Must possess an active and licensed Physical Therapist credential in the state of Florida with no sanctions or board proceedings on record.
• Proficiency in multiple manual therapy techniques and the ability to design effective exercise programs tailored to individual performance goals.
• Experience using electronic medical records (EMR) systems for documentation, particularly familiarity with WebPT.
• Up-to-date knowledge of physical therapy practices along with a commitment to evidence-based treatment methodologies.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting is preferred.
• Ability to demonstrate a successful track record of patient outcomes through innovative treatment strategies and personalized care.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to foster relationships with patients to support their rehabilitation journey.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
