Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of residents to assess their physical capabilities and treatment requirements. This includes assessing range of motion, strength, and overall functional mobility.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on improving strength, mobility, and overall functional independence to assist residents in daily activities.
• Deliver hands-on therapy through therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and the use of advanced modalities to address specific physical impairments.
• Document patient progress meticulously, updating treatment plans based on ongoing evaluations to ensure the most effective care strategies are employed.
• Facilitate communication and collaboration with an interdisciplinary care team, including physicians and occupational therapists, to ensure comprehensive and holistic patient care.
• Educate residents and their families on recommended home exercise programs and strategies to continue improving their physical health beyond the facility.
• Maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations, ensuring the delivery of care meets industry standards at all times.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with a diverse patient population, focusing on individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, and chronic conditions. Our residents range in age and personal backgrounds, requiring a compassionate and adaptable approach to care that meets their unique therapeutic needs.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Florida is essential.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is required, with preference given to candidates holding advanced degrees or certifications.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist, particularly in a rehabilitation or skilled nursing facility.
• Experience working with the geriatric population and those with orthopedic concerns is highly desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with both clients and interdisciplinary team members.
• Proficiency in utilizing various therapeutic tools and techniques specific to orthopedic treatment.

Compensation and Benefits
