Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and document case histories meticulously from initial consultations to conclusion of treatment.

• Evaluate clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health to determine appropriate interventions.
\n
• Craft and implement individualized and group treatment plans, ensuring they are evidence-based and tailored to each client's needs.
\n
• Facilitate individual therapy sessions aimed at addressing specific mental health issues, alongside group therapy sessions that promote shared experiences and collective healing.
\n
• Continuously monitor and assess client progress throughout the treatment process, adjusting interventions as necessary to optimize outcomes.
\n
• Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, and social workers, to coordinate care and share insights that enhance client treatment strategies.

• Work with psychiatrists and other medical professionals to follow up on patients who require more intensive care during hospital admissions.
\n
• Identify and actively address behaviors that may obstruct recovery, offering clients and their families strategies to overcome these challenges.

• Educate and support family members and caregivers in managing the mental health challenges faced by their loved ones.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients, including individuals, couples, families, and groups presenting various mental health challenges, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. Your role is pivotal in creating an inclusive environment that enables clients from all backgrounds to express their concerns and work towards healing.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of California.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Previous experience in a mental health counseling role is essential, demonstrating a commitment to client care and successful therapeutic outcomes.

• Proficiency in electronic health record systems such as AVATAR, facilitating streamlined documentation and client management.
\n
• Experience dealing with complex underlying physical and emotional health conditions, as well as addiction issues.
\n
• Familiarity with best practices set forth by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
\n
• Comprehensive understanding of psychotropic medications and their implications for client care.
\n
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, ensuring clarity and effectiveness in interactions with clients and colleagues.
\n
• Empathy, interpersonal skills, and a genuine desire to support others in their mental health journey.
\n

• Experience in a remote counseling role, demonstrating the ability to engage clients effectively in a virtual setting.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers an annual salary range of $80,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience.
