Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough preliminary interviews, documenting client cases meticulously from initial consultation through to treatment completion.

• Evaluate clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health by employing standardized assessment tools and methodologies.
\n
• Create individualized intervention and recovery plans tailored to the unique needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, promoting a safe space for self-expression and therapeutic exploration.
\n
• Continuously monitor client progress throughout the treatment plan, adjusting approaches based on therapeutic feedback and clinical observations.
\n
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to develop comprehensive intervention strategies.
\n
• Provide follow-up support for clients who have been admitted to hospitals, coordinating with medical professionals to ensure ongoing care.
\n
• Identify impediments to recovery and employ proactive strategies to address and prevent obstacles to mental health improvement.
\n
• Support family members and primary caregivers in managing their loved ones' mental and behavioral challenges with resources and counseling.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our practice serves a diverse range of clients struggling with various mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, and relationship difficulties. You will work closely with individuals and families from different backgrounds, necessitating cultural competence and an understanding of the unique challenges each client faces in their mental health journey.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in the state of California.
\n
• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Demonstrated experience as a mental health counselor with a solid understanding of therapeutic techniques.
\n
• Proficient use of electronic health record systems, with experience in platforms such as AVATAR preferred.
\n
• Knowledge of various underlying physical and emotional health conditions, as well as experience managing addiction disorders.
\n
• Familiarity with best practices set forth by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
\n
• In-depth understanding of the effects of medications prescribed by medical professionals on mental health.
\n
• Strong written and verbal communication skills combined with exceptional interpersonal qualities.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
