Work Environment\n

This position allows for a remote work setting, providing flexibility while maintaining the ability to engage actively with patients. Our outpatient office environment is centered on compassionate care and teamwork, where we utilize state-of-the-art electronic health record (EHR) systems to facilitate seamless communication and documentation. While the standard work schedule is Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, occasional evening shifts may be required based on patient needs and scheduling.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct in-depth mental health assessments to understand the unique psychological and emotional needs of elderly clients.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate cognitive, physical, and social factors affecting the mental wellbeing of your patients.

• Administer evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including individual and family therapy, specifically tailored for geriatric psychiatric conditions.

• Collaborate with geriatric psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive, holistic patient care.

• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support during mental health emergencies, ensuring that elderly patients receive timely assistance.

• Educate patients and their families regarding mental health conditions and available treatment options, empowering them to make informed decisions.

• Maintain detailed and accurate records while adhering to all legal and ethical healthcare documentation standards.

• Engage in regular team meetings and case consultations to foster collaborative approaches and continuous learning.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Qualifications\n

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Valid and current licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Oregon.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure therapeutic experience in a mental health setting, preferably with older adults.

• In-depth knowledge of geriatric mental health disorders, including evidence-based treatment modalities that have proven effective for older patients.

• Experience delivering therapeutic interventions and support to individuals and families navigating the challenges of aging.

• Exceptional interpersonal communication skills and a patient-centered, empathetic demeanor capable of establishing rapport with elderly clients.

• Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems and familiarity with digital communication tools.

Compensation and Benefits\n
