Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical therapy evaluations for children, assessing their functional abilities and challenges in a kind and supportive manner.
• Develop, implement, and adjust personalized treatment plans based on evolving needs, ensuring measurable progress toward goals.
• Regularly assess clinical signs and symptoms to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions, adapting approaches as necessary to meet patient needs.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including SOAP notes and progress summaries, using our electronic record system to ensure continuity of care.
• Educate patients and their families on the recovery process, empowering them to engage actively in their treatment and understand potential challenges.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide holistic care for clients receiving multiple services.
• Advocate for a culture of care excellence within the organization, embodying and promoting the core values of TheraPlay.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily focus on a diverse population of children and adolescents, accommodating various diagnoses ranging from developmental delays to orthopedic conditions. Qualifications

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
• Current and unrestricted state licensure in Physical Therapy as required by the Virginia Board of Physical Therapy.
• A strong commitment to providing compassionate care to pediatric patients from a variety of backgrounds.
• Flexibility to conduct evaluations and offer treatments in person or via telehealth, where clinically appropriate.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively connect with patients, families, and colleagues.

Preferred Experience
