Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough assessments of patients' physical conditions and creating individualized treatment plans tailored to their specific needs.
• Delivering high-quality physical therapy services, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modalities, to enhance recovery and improve mobility.
• Monitoring patient progress and modifying treatment plans as necessary to ensure effective rehabilitation.
• Educating patients and their families about exercises and techniques to promote recovery and prevent further injuries.
• Documenting patient progress and treatment interventions in compliance with regulatory and insurance standards.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A current state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Virginia.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in outpatient orthopedic physical therapy.
• Exceptional manual therapy skills, with a strong foundation in soft tissue mobilization techniques.
• Excellent assessment skills, particularly in a Direct Access setting, allowing patients to receive timely care.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

• Additional certifications in specialized therapeutic techniques or methodologies.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems to streamline patient documentation and management.
• Experience in supervising or mentoring junior therapists or students.

Compensation and Benefits
