Work Environment

This role primarily involves providing onsite treatment to patients at their residences. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients referred by physicians, developing individualized treatment plans that address specific orthopedic needs.
• Implement and monitor therapeutic exercise programs tailored to enhance recovery, strength, and mobility.
• Employ a variety of evidence-based techniques to facilitate optimal physical function, coordinating care with other health professionals as necessary.
• Educate patients and caregivers on improving mobility and functional independence through tailored interventions and home exercise programs.
• Maintain thorough documentation utilizing electronic health record systems to track patient progress and ensure adherence to treatment protocols.
• Exhibit exemplary customer service, fostering positive interactions that bolster patient trust and satisfaction.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss patient status, treatment strategies, and service improvements.
• Meet productivity standards set by the organization while providing high-quality care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position caters primarily to patients with orthopedic conditions, ranging from post-surgical rehabilitation to chronic musculoskeletal disorders. Additional specialties may include pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine cases. Our therapists develop a deep understanding of each patient's unique circumstances, building strong relationships that support their recovery journey.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid Physical Therapy license in the state of New Jersey.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish rapport with patients and families.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Proficient in electronic health records and general computer skills.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years' experience as a Physical Therapist, preferably in home care or outpatient settings.
• Familiarity with a diverse range of orthopedic conditions and rehabilitation techniques.
• Demonstrated proficiency in patient education and therapeutic communication.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Compensation and Benefits
